EFFECTIVE NON-TRADITIONAL BUILDING SYSTEM
  1. THE FIRST STEP IS TO TREAT THE SOIL IN ORDER TO PREVENT EXPANDING SOIL – WHICH TENDS TO SHRINK AND SWELL WITH CHANGES IN MOISTURE CONTENT – FROM PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE POOL STRUCTURE.

This is the main cause of cracks in concrete and/or brick swimming pools.

  1. MONOLITHIC STRUCTURE

This system allows you to build a “monolithic” unit – that is to say, floor, walls and bond beam all made from the same material – thus preventing possible cracks and leaks.

  1. WATERPROOF MATERIAL

Unlike bricks or concrete, Ferrocement (*) is waterproof and does not require any waterproofing or sealing treatment.

This does not only reduce costs but also minimizes the chances of leakage.

Ferrocement’s waterproofness is evidenced by thousands of vessels worldwide.

  1. DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES

This material is so versatile that swimming pools built out of ferrocement can take almost any shape and size.

Since 1994, we have built over 200 swimming pools, from a simple spa with a volume of 5,000 liters to a 23 x 43 meter swimming pool with a volume of 1,000,000 liters (see pictures).

SOLID TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND:

Carlos A. Gschwind is an expert from Argentina with over thirty-six-year-long experience in the study, development and manufacturing of ferrocement products. Ferrocement is currently being widely used to build thousands of boats and pontoons worldwide.

In June 2015, Mr. Gschwind was invited to give a lecture at the 11th International Symposium on Ferrocement, held at the University of Aachen in Germany. Before experts from all over the world, he spoke about his over three-decade work building pontoons, swimming pools, culverts and coastal defenses, among other products, out of ferrocement.
